MANAGING DIRECTOR - DAN RYAN

Dan Ryan is a commercial and technology lawyer with over 15 years’ high-level advisory and transactional experience in Asia with particular expertise in Greater China. 

Mr Ryan advises companies on structuring, negotiating and brokering deals with Chinese / Asian clients. 

He began his career working for leading international law firms (Baker & McKenzie, Freshfields) in their corporate, intellectual property and technology groups. 

He has since worked as general counsel for a range of companies in the finance, technology and commodities/resources sectors. 

He has worked in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong and currently splits his time between Australia and China.  

He has served as board member of the Australia-China Council, the peak independent body advising the Australian Government on commercial and strategic issues relating to the China relationship. 

He speaks and reads Mandarin Chinese to a very high professional level.
